1. Who operates this website

SANISPECTRA LIMITED (“Sanispectra”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the VAMAS-XML website and is the controller for personal data described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 12112853. Our registered office is 13 Lily Avenue, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE2 2SQ, United Kingdom.

2. Scientific files stay in the browser

When you choose a VAMAS or XML file, the browser application reads and converts it locally in the memory of your browser tab. Selected scientific files are not uploaded. The application has no file-upload endpoint and does not intentionally send the file's content, filename or conversion manifest to Sanispectra, Hostinger, an analytics provider or a remote conversion service. Closing the tab releases the application's working memory, subject to the normal behaviour of your browser and operating system.

Downloaded conversion results are saved wherever you direct your browser to save them. We cannot see or recover those results.

3. Agreement record in this tab

After you accept the Website Terms, the site stores the text terms-1.0-2026-08-06 in browser session storage. This allows the converter to confirm that the current terms were accepted. It contains no name, email address or file information, is available only to this website, and normally disappears when the browser tab or its session is closed. The site does not use this value for advertising or tracking.

4. Server and security logs

Like an ordinary static website, the hosting server receives requests for pages and program files. Hostinger may record technical information such as your IP address, request date and time, requested resource, response status, referrer and browser or device user-agent. These logs may be used to deliver and secure the website, diagnose faults and investigate misuse.

Our lawful basis for this limited processing is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website. The precise log fields, retention period, hosting location and processor arrangements are governed by the applicable Hostinger configuration, policies and data-processing terms.

5. No accounts, analytics or tracking cookies

The website provides no user account, mailing list, server-side conversion history, behavioural analytics, advertising tracker or remote error-reporting service. The application itself sets no cookies. If any of these features is introduced later, this notice and, where required, the consent mechanism will be updated before the feature is enabled.

6. Third-party links

A link that takes you to another website is governed by that site's privacy notice. We do not send your selected scientific files to a linked website.

7. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Because selected scientific files are not received by us, we cannot retrieve or alter their browser-memory contents.
